Y6 Remote Learning Timetable

What will a typical day look like for Cedar Class?

 

 

7am – Morning task posted (Flashback 4)

9am – Live register, whole class reading and comprehension (Pre-read, vocabulary, inference, deduction and evaluative questions and spelling test on Friday)

10am –Live Literacy – Usual literacy structure – hook, model text, language features, boxing up with children given opportunities to plan, draft, re-draft and complete their writing.

11am – Live Numeracy – Shared teaching using IWB, with questions and child participation as much as possible. Explanation and example of Learn it, Use it and Solve it activities.

1pm – Live topic lesson linked to curriculum planning and Thrive session on Friday’s. 

 

Live sessions start on the hour, every hour. The children are introduced to their learning through a prepared powerpoint or smartboard presentation and have their task set. The children are then able to hang up the call; however, the teacher remains on the call so that if children need help they can come back to the call at anytime.
