Where in the UK?
The Equator, Colombia and the United Kingdom
As part of our 'Where in the UK?' topic, Ash Class looked at the UK on world map. We also learned about the Equator and found this on a map using a piece of string. We talked about the weather of countries close to the equator, such as Colombia, and compared their positioning on the map to the equator and then each other. We discussed how the weather is hot closer to the equator and there aren't seasons like ours in the UK.
