Lighthouse Learning
As part of our learning for DT, we have been researching lighthouses. The history of lighthouses fascinated us. The technology behind the fresnel lamps astounded us. So, we set about making our own lighthouses. We had to measure accurately, cut carefully and join precisely for our structure to stand solid and strong.

In our first week in class, we spent time working as a team on lots of different STEM activities. It was good fun.
Getting to know you....
We've been studying WW1. So at the end of the term, we went to the Sherwood forest to find out more about the WW1 trenches. We even had a go at orienteering. We felt like real soldiers running through the woods.
