13 April 2018 (by Abigail Smith (Miss Smith))

The game ended 2-1 to Carrfield.

Lacewood were narrowly beat in the final of the Totty Cup by a strong Carrfield team. Lacewood, who have players from Y4,Y5 and Y6 should be proud of themselves after running Carrfield close in two games. Mr Hallsworth would like to thank everyone who has supported the school team this year and also congratulate Carrfield on their success. "What the children have achieved through sport this year is outstanding. Not only have they succeeded in local competitions, but they have competed nationally against other schools. Their level of commitment, attitude, team work and leadership is incredible and we are extremely proud of all our children. Tonight, our fantastic team will find out if they have won the 'Community Sports Team of the Year' award at the Young Champions awards ceremony, having been nominated for their superb efforts in several competitions this year. Our school team have definitely followed our motto this year, 'always try your best to be your best'.
