Lacewood in Europe |
|
(January 15th - 18th 2005) For over a year David Kaye has been involved with seeking partners for a project which would attract funding from the European Commission. The final part of the bidding process involved a visit from teachers from three of the participating countries to Lacewood. The participating schools were: ICS "Giannone" from Pulsano, Italy; Adalbert Stifter Realschule from Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany and Kyrölän Koulu from Järvenpää, Finland. Meetings were held over the weekend and the visitors were shown round the school on Monday before taking part in a special assembly and meeting staff, governors and representatives from the council, Dearne High School and the Dearne (EiC) Action Zone for a buffet lunch. We now wait until July to find out if the bid has been successful.
