THE NATIONAL CURRICULUM

All children are taught English, Mathematics, Science, Information and Communication Technology, History, Geography, Music, Art, P.E., R.E. and P.S.H.E.

Formal assessments are made at the end of Key Stage One (7 years) and at the end of Key Stage Two (11 years) and a Base-line assessment of children is taken on entry to Nursery and again in the first half term of full-time school and at the end of Reception.

Throughout Key Stage 2 children will be tested annually to enable analysis of their work level and progression through the National Curriculum.

All pupils have home/school agreements.  Each pupil has set targets in Literacy and Mathematics to work towards each term.

Homework is an agreed policy within school and parents’ support is sought in this.
